People should post this on their FB page and send it everywhere. Ask folks to share it if they find it interesting. We have to let more people know what is hidden behind this book cover. As one blogger wrote of this book somewhere I can’t remember, ” there are more WTF moments in this book than any other I have read”. Part of that WTishness is the feeling that “oh I woulda heard of it by now”

But can we go on living in a media world where Gary Harts and John Edwards are Monkey Business TKOd from Elections and the minefield of the secrets of H.W. Bush’s role in Watergate and Dallas go completely unaired? That is the right now question posed by this book. The cognitive dissonance that is the prerequisite to learning CAN occur. But first we must cut and paste.

I just thank God for people like the author. I truly believe, for alot of reasons, that 9-11 was premeditated.

You have no agenda? Lol. Umm ok.

What is interesting about the book is not so much what the Bush family did right or wrong but that Americans accepts how the government operates. I am sure if the author goes back to all the presidents the same patterns have always been there. The founding fathers layed the foundaton as well as all the loop holes. I do not know if that makes us great but it does defines us as a people. Bush II just did not know how to pull it off. Poppy did not know how either. He was only served one term. I always wondered how he lost. It will take years to right the wrongs. By then it will not matter. It will be like a tear in the falling rain.

Congratulations, Mr. Baker — and thank you for a fine and much needed book. One can only pray that your book and others like it will wake up the moral conscience of this nation. Your book proves “beyond a reasonable doubt” the Bush family is a criminal enterprise. Indictments are in order.

I shall forever be saddened and sickened by the carnage that George II brought upon our troops and the citizens of other countries who got in their way. I’ve known in my own heart that George II was damn near a deserter, and yet was in a position to kill our own people. And then the pr campaign demands that we call them “heroes”. They are victims.

the dirt didn’t start with ‘poppy’. anyone who goes back and looks at ‘grampy’-prescott bush-will find the double dealings of the union national bank of new york with the nazis. as compensation for shutting him down in new york, the powers that be made him a senator from connecticut.

Unfortunately I couldn’t listen to the video, which kept starting and stopping. I would really like to hear it, so I am disappointed.

This book sounds like it has a lot of what was in the “Unauthorised Biography of G.H.W. Bush. In it, Marley describes the involvement with the Nazis, Harriman and Walker, the money, bush never winning an election, his not knowing where he was when Kennedy was assasinated, his involvement with the CIA, phony war record, and his involvement in a secret coup to overthrow our government in 1934. It seems as tho the press has been giving this family of traitors a free pass for close to 80 years. George #1 relocated in Midland-Odesa, Texass, where they hate blacks and hispanics. The whole family needs to be lynched.

Whoa. If I were Russ Baker, I’d go into hiding. I actually fear for his life. When the System is controlled by such insidious billionaire immoral crooks — is there any hope?

  • By Russ Baker, November 7, 2010 @ 8:30 pm

Mike Varre, actually, almost all of the material in Family of Secrets is totally fresh–never appeared in any other book. Check it out, will astonish you.

As a Canadian I have been made aware of some of this info through a wonderful author Naomi Klein-shw describes in detail the role the CIA has played all over the world in subverting progressive governments ( I think of Allende in
Chile in particular) and also Nelson Mandela in South Africa through the IMF and the World Bank. Wake up America!! You are no longer a
real democracy or a force for good in the world. This last mid-term election is a reflection of how ignorant many Americans are
about who is really running their country. What intelligent person could support these tea-party idiots-especially Sarah Pallin?

    force for good in the

    Hurrah for Russell Baker!!

Oh my God, can’t wait to get a copy. It should be mandatory readig for every American, let’s give copies of his book away. The question is now what kind of stupid spin will Limbaugh put on it. The Republicans are in such denial. How cool two years till the next election to spread the word. We have felt all along that Bush and Cheney need to be prosecuted and now the first Bush, what next. Thanks so much to Mr. Baker and his investigation. How sad for America to have such awful people in our midst.

You think this is bad? Wait until you see who WILL be our 45th president…are you ready? Jeb Bush!

Just wait and see. These recent past elections proved to the power elite that Americans are stupid sheep. We just put back in to power, locally and in the House, the very people who nearly destroyed our country.

2012…With the Citizens United decision, the corporate run tea party movement, the US Chamber Of Commerce acting as a conduit for big money both domestic and foreign…the cards are all in place for a right wing take over of our government.

I have no doubt that the right will take back the senate and the presidency in 2012. With Jeb Bush continuing what his father and brother started. And all of the brain dead sheople on the right will come out in droves to elect Jeb Bush…these fools still defend George…We will see the death of our democratic experiment in the near future…fascism/corpocracy/kleptocracy will be its replacement as we the people will have any remaining rights or protections as citizens and consumers usurped!
