Russ on KPFA’s Guns and Butter
Russ appeared on KPFA’s Guns and Butter show with host Bonnie Faulkner to discuss Family of Secrets and the influence of covert operations and the intelligence community in American politics. Their conversation not only provides new insights into Russ’s five years of research for the book, but it also explains why understanding these powerful forces will help us build a better country.

Superb interview! Please return at least once.
Nice crib sheet by Vanity Fair. Just missing a few key pieces: JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and then moving over to Europe and The City.

Are you turning this book into a documentary film ?

Excellent interviews! On the second interview you did with Bonnie you mentioned that GHW Bush and LBJ were very good friends, I would be very interested in hearing more about that relationship. The whole emeshed Texas oil politics with tentacles everywhere would make another huge and fascinating book.
But be careful, there are now trillions at stake. Although who knows, now that they’ve looted everything they might not be so secretive. They may even want credit for their deeds.
Can’t wait to read your book!

Could you make this file a downloadable mp3 like the second interview - it is an 51 byte m3u media player streaming file link - for those of us with slow connections a real mp3 link would be great. The second interview has one. I am loving your book - great work!!! It was the last copy left at B & N!
